The Production Process
Every project is a little different, but the overall process tends to look something like this.
1. The Conversation
Everything starts with a conversation. We’ll talk about your idea, what you're hoping the video will accomplish, and who it’s meant for. This is also where we start shaping the story and figuring out what kind of approach will work best.
2. Planning the Shoot/Storyboarding
Once we have a direction, we’ll work through the details — things like locations, scheduling, interviews, and the overall flow of the video. A little planning up front goes a long way toward making the filming process smooth and enjoyable. You’ll be involved in this whole process
3. Production
This is the filming stage where everything starts coming together. Depending on the project, this might involve interviews, capturing real moments as they unfold, or carefully crafted visuals that help tell the story. My goal during production is always the same: create a relaxed environment so we can capture genuine, natural moments.
4. Editing & Shaping the Story
After filming, I move into the editing process. This is where the story really takes shape — selecting the best moments, refining the pacing, adding music, color grading, and bringing everything together into a cohesive film. I’ll share a draft with you so we can review it together and make sure the final piece feels right.
5. Final Delivery
Once everything is polished and approved, you’ll receive the finished video ready to share — whether that’s on your website, social media, or at an event.
